This monthly photo challenge is new to my blog for 2016. The idea behind this challenge comes from Cardinal Guzman’s blog. Living on 100 forested acres, this challenge really appealed to me. I try and get out for a hike or a 4 wheeling excursion several times a week. Last year, I found it fascinating to watch the forest change from month to month and season to season. This challenge reminds me to truly see the beauty of nature surrounding us and to snap a few photos throughout the month. By the end of the year, I hope to have a nice collection of photos showcasing the many changes of our property.
Here is my submission for the month of January.

Glad we have a nice fire to keep us warm during the winter. Despite the cold, I enjoy getting out for a winter hike from time to time. I look forward to sharing the changes as the year goes on. Thanks for stopping by.

Looks awesome! I wish we had a hundred acres. It’s more fun to get out with room to roam!

I agree. We moved from less than a half acre to this and now I appreciate winter in a whole new way.
